Today I played with a few stains for this massive farmhouse by Paramount Realty Group .
The first blog I did on Minwax stain on red oak floors helped so many of you guys that I wanted to show you more examples including application on other types of wood. The client’s style is very similar to what you would see Joanna Gaines do in Fixer Upper. They love white and shiplap everywhere. They wanted a very clean-looking modern farmhouse with a little bit of curve to accent.
The wood in this photo is dark which helps the white pop and look so crisp. They also have a Fir pantry door and we were trying to match or lighter than the floors .

These are all one coat of the labeled color.
The fir has Minwax Early American. There is still a lot of red showing through.
This example shows less red with the stain we liked.
