5. Ask your builder’s preferred vendors. It is great because they are usually insured and you will get a discount. For example, our lighting vendor was Progressive Lighting and we used all of our lighting allowance there. Who doesn’t like a good discount and not worrying about replacing broken lighting?
6. Be open to changes. I believe I was told “yes” a lot more in the beginning just to be told it was impossible when it actually came time. Also, the normal rule is to set your closing date a month or two after the builder states. Prepare for the worst and be pleasantly surprised at the end.| ← Previous | |
